Horse gram can best be described as a reddish brown legume which is packed with a number of health benefits. It can help with a number of health problems as it is a grain which contains a good and rich amount of vitamins, proteins, and iron.

In addition to weight loss, it helps in reduction of extra fat from the body. Horse gram is rich in B-complex vitamin and proteins.   2. hello doctor, i had read some where that horse gram cooked with pepper and kokum is good for weight loss. Can you pls let me know the recipe for weight loss using horse gram?

    • Namaste Madam, Yes Horse gram helps in weight loss.

      This is what you have to do: horse gram – cumin seed powder mixture should be combined with luke warm water and taken during the morning and evening on an empty stomach.

  3. I have a condition where the iron content in my blood is very high and i have to donate blood on a regular basis to reduce the iron content. This is creating other problems for my health. Someone told me that eating Horse Gram will reduce the iron contact in my blood. Is this correct? The health benefits for Horse Gram shows that it is rich in Iron. Then how can it reduce the iron levels in the blood? Can you please enlighten on this?
