Kalyanaka Ghrita

Kalyanaka Ghrita is an ayurvedic herbal ghee formulation which is useful in Pumsavana Karma, Meha (Urinary tract disorders), Jwara (fever), Artava Kshaya (Menstrual problems), Shukra Kshaya, Kushta (Skin diseases) etc.,

The contents —

  • Vara (Triphala) — Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) + Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) + Bhibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica)
  • Visala (Indravaruni) — Citrullus colocynthis
  • Kounthi
  • Devadaru — Cedrus deodara
  • Elavaluka
  • Dwi sariva  — Hemidesmus indicus
  • Dwi Rajani (Haridra (curcuma longa) + Daru haridra (Berberis aristata)
  • Dwi Sthira ( Shaliparni (Desmodium gangeticum) + Prshniparni (Uraria picta)
  • Phalini (Priyangu) — Callicarpa macrophylla
  • Nata (Tagara) — Valeriana Wallichii
  • Brihati — Solanum indicum
  • Kushta — Saussurea lappa
  • Manjishta — Rubia cordifolia
  • Vidanga — Embelia ribes
  • Talisapatra — Abbies webbiana
  • Ela — Elettaria cardamomum
  • Malati mukula — Combretum indicum
  • Utpala — Nymphea stellata
  • Danti — Baliospermum montanum

The Dosage for Pumsavana Karma (Conception) —

Both husband and wife are advised to take this ghrita before the conception for 6-8 weeks.

1/2 to 1 teaspoon in the morning, before the food with one cup of luke warm water.

The Dosage for other indications —

  • One or two teaspoons before going to bed with warm water.
