Dashamularishta

Dashamularishta is a specific combination of herbs that cools the body, strengthens and nourishes the tissue. The primary contents help to restore feminine hormone balance, calm the nerves, and sooth digestive processes, and reduce inflammation. It is a liver and a kidney tonic.

It is commonly used after delivery for the prevention of postpartum problems including infectious diseases of uterus, bladder and kidneys, backache, fatigue, pain of perineal area, excess discharge, Postpartum depression, sluggish uterus, swollen breasts etc. It also provides strength to muscles, bones and ligaments and improves immunity. Due to this reason, it becomes famous for women in India and it becomes a common remedy for postpartum problems.

दशमूलानि कुर्वीत भागैः पञ्चपलैः पृथक् |
पञ्च विंशत्पलं कुर्यात् चित्रकं पौष्करं तथा ||

कुर्याद्विंशत्पल लोध्रं गुडूची तत्समं भवेत् |
पलैष्षोडशभिर्धात्री रविसंख्या दुरालभा ||

खदिरो बीजसारं पथ्याचेति पृथक् पलैः |
अष्टभिर्गुणितैः कुष्टमजिष्टा देवदारु च ||

विदङ्गं मधूकं भारङ्गी कपित्थोक्षः पुनर्नवा |
चव्यं मांसी प्रियङ्गुश्च सारिवा कृष्णजीरकं ||

त्रिवृता रेणुकं रास्ना पिप्पली क्रमुकं शति |
हरिद्रा शतपुष्पा च पद्मकं नागकेसरं ||

मुस्तमिन्द्रयवं शृङ्गी जीवकर्षभकौ तथा |
मेदाचान्या महामेदा काकोल्यौ ऋद्धिवृद्धिके ||
कुर्यात्पृथक् द्विपलिकान् पचेदष्टगुणे जले |
चतुर्थांशं शृतं नीत्वा मृदभाण्डे सन्निधापयेत् ||

ततष्षष्टिपलां द्राक्षां पचेन्नीरे चतुर्गुणे |
त्रिपादशेषं शीतं च पूर्वक्वाथे शृतं क्षिपेत् ||

द्वात्रिंशत्पलिकं क्षौद्रं दद्याद् गुड चतुश्शतं |
त्रिंशत्पलानि धातक्याः तक्कोलं जलचन्दनं ||
जातीफलं लवङ्गं च त्वगेलापत्रकेसरं |
पिप्पली चेति संचूर्ण्य भागैर्द्विपलकैः पृथक् ||

शाणमात्रां च कस्तूरी सर्वमेकत्र निक्षिपेत् |
भूमौ निखनयेद् भांडं ततो जातरसं पिबेत् ||
कतकस्य फलं क्षिप्त्वा रसं निर्मलतां नयेत् |
ग्रहणीमरुचिं शूलं श्वासं कासं भगंदरं ||

वातव्याधिं क्षयं च्छर्दिं पाण्डुरोगं च कामलां |
कुष्टान्यर्शांसि मेहांश्च मन्दाग्निमुदराणि च ||
शर्करामश्मरीं मूत्रकृच्छ्रं धातुक्षयं जयेत् |
कृशानां पुष्टिजननो वन्ध्यानां पुत्रदः परं ||
अरिष्टो दशमूलाख्यः तेजश्शुक्रबलप्रदः ||

daśamūlāni kurvīta bhāgaiḥ pañcapalaiḥ pr̥thak |
pañca vinśatpalaṁ kuryāt citrakaṁ pauṣkaraṁ tathā ||
kuryādvinśatpala lōdhraṁ guḍūcī tatsamaṁ bhavēt |
palaiṣṣōḍaśabhirdhātrī ravisaṅkhyā durālabhā ||
khadirō bījasāraṁ pathyācēti pr̥thak palaiḥ |
aṣṭabhirguṇitaiḥ kuṣṭamajiṣṭā dēvadāru ca ||
