
Gandhak Rasayan is an ayurvedic mineral-based medicine, which contains detoxified Sulfur processed with herbal juice as a main ingredient. It is used in Kushta (Skin diseases), Gulma (Abdominal lumps), Pandu (Anemia), Arshas (Haemorrhoids)

The Reference Shloka —
षट्पलं गंधकं चूर्ण त्रिपलं चित्रतंडुलं |
शुण्ठीमरीचवैदेहि शन्निष्कं तु पृथक् पृथक् ||
त्रिसुगन्धि वरा रास्ना बाकुची भृङ्गराजकं |
चतुर्निष्कं च प्रत्येकं लोहभस्मं समं तथा ||
तत्सर्वं चूर्णितं कृत्वा घृते मधुगुडान्वितं |
अक्षप्रमाणं तद् भुक्त्वा लवणाम्लादि वर्जयेत् ||
क्षीरयुक्ताशनं पथ्यं सेवयेदेकमंडलं |
दीर्घायुश्च बली चैव दिव्यदृष्टिर्भवेन्नर ||
दिव्यदेहि च योगी च स्थिरता च प्रजायते |
कुष्टमष्टादशं हंति गुल्मं पंचविधं तथा ||
अर्शांसि पाण्डुरोगांश्च गंधकादिरसायनं ||

śuṇṭhīmarīcavaidēhi śanniṣkaṁ tu pr̥thak pr̥thak ||
trisugandhi varā rāsnā bākucī bhr̥ṅgarājakaṁ |
caturniṣkaṁ ca pratyēkaṁ lōhabhasmaṁ samaṁ tathā ||
tatsarvaṁ cūrṇitaṁ kr̥tvā ghr̥te madhuguḍānvitaṁ |
akṣapramāṇaṁ tad bhuktvā lavaṇāmlādi varjayet ||
kṣīrayuktāśanaṁ pathyaṁ sevayedekamaṁḍalaṁ |
dīrghāyuśca balī caiva divyadr̥ṣṭirbhavennara ||
divyadehi ca yogī ca sthiratā ca prajāyate |
kuṣṭamaṣṭādaśaṁ haṁti gulmaṁ paṁcavidhaṁ tathā ||
arśāṁsi pāṇḍurogāṁśca gaṁdhakādirasāyanaṁ ||

- Chitra Tandula (Vidanga) — Embelia ribes
- Sunthi — Zingiber officinale
- Maricha — Piper nigrum
- Vaidehi (Pippali) — Piper longum
- Trisugandhi (Trijataka) — Twak (Cinnamomum zeylanica) + Ela (Elettaria cardamom) + Patra (Cinnamomum tamala)
- Vara (Triphala) — Amalaki (Emblica officinalis) + Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica) + Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)
- Rasna — Alpinia galanga
- Bakuchi — Psoralea corylifolia
- Bhringaraja — Eclipta alba

Dosage —
The Traditional dose is 1 Aksha– 12 gram
Milk diet should be given after the digestion of the medicine. Avoid sour and salt substances during the course of 40 days.
Time Duration —
It can be taken safely for a period of 2 – 4 months, based on your doctors advice.
Side Effects —
Self medication of this medicine is strictly not recommended. To be taken under strict medical supervision.
Excess dosage of Gandhak Rasayan can cause:
- Diarrhoea
- Diarrhoea with abdominal cramps
- Bloating
- Stomach upset
