Narayana Churna is a classical Ayurvedic formulation made from 26 herbal powders along with 5 types of salts and kshara (alkaline substances). Adjuvants (Anupana) for Narayana Churna —
The therapeutic effect can be enhanced with suitable adjuvants. For example:
- In Ascites — with buttermilk
- In Gulma — with Badara Kashaya
- In Flatulence — with Sura
- In Vataja Roga — with Prasanna
- In Piles — with pomegranate juice
- In Fissure in ano — with Vrikshamla juice
- In constipation — with curds
- In Ajeerna — with warm water

Side Effects of Narayana Churna —
Narayana Churna is usually safe when taken in the proper dosage. However, excessive intake may lead to loose stools or gastritis. Moreover, since the formulation contains multiple salts, individuals with hypertension should use it cautiously. Hence, long-term or unsupervised use is not advisable.
